April & Charley: Married!

Okay, sometimes blogging takes me a week or two because I procrastinate. Even when I love the photos, it can get tedious. This time though, I promise I didn’t procrastinate. Things have been a little crazier than normal this week since my husband broke his leg, and blogging has been the least of my worries. But Stephen’s on the mend so here’s my first wedding of 2014! I got to second-shoot this one with the talented Carolyn of Carolyn Marie Photography who happens to also be one of my best friends. What a great way to start the year!

April and Charley got married at a little Presbyterian church in Candor, NC, and the reception was at a golf clubhouse nearby. The ceremony was simple and intimate with beautiful flowers and candles everywhere, and I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a reception where so many people had so much fun dancing. I think one of my favorite things to photograph though was April’s smile. Her joy and excitement was so obvious, and it was so much fun to capture it! Congratulations again to April and Charley and thanks to Carolyn Marie Photography for asking me to second-shoot!
