Falls Lake Wedding Photography

This simple, intimate wedding was absolutely amazing. I would never have thought to rent out a picnic shelter at Falls Lake for a wedding, bit it could not have been more perfect. I mean, look at those ceremony shots!! The light was beautiful. And the bride! Don’t even get me started. She was so sweet and laid-back and fun. Everything about this wedding suited her.

Riley and Brenten met just before Thanksgiving is 2013. She was moving out of an apartment and he was helping someone move in. When she realized he didn’t have family close by to spend Thanksgiving with, she invited him to spend it with her family. Normally I would say here that the rest is history, but with Brenten in the Marine Corps, these two have a pretty great story. In 2014 Brenten spent 7 months in Kuwait and in January of 2015 he was called to serve in Japan for a year. No one wants to hear that their boyfriend has to move to another country, but it was then that Riley knew she wanted to marry him. Brenten proposed on a hike in Boone, NC and was able to get leave to come back from Japan for a week to get married. And they got married twice! Once in Utah for their west coast friends and family and once right here in Wake Forest. Can you believe this beautiful wedding was their second? There’s a lot up in the air for them right now as Riley prepares to move to Japan, but how romantic is that story? I could not be more thrilled for them. Congratulations Riley and Brenten! I wish you all the best in the years to come.
