June Goals

The years is almost halfway over (WHAT!?) and I’m so excited about where my business is and where it’s going. I’m happy to say that I’ve done the best job of staying on top of editing as any busy season I can remember. Huzzah! It’s so nice to get back from a Southeastern business trip to Paris (still can’t believe that happened) and not feel super behind on editing for my own business. I have some sessions in the queue of course, but it’s not overwhelming like it so easily could have been.

Now a little bit about Paris. I’ve studied French for a long time, and it was so awesome to get to go visit the places I’ve always learned about and finally use the language. Stephen got to come with me (!!!!), and we got to do a little bit of sightseeing while we were there. We saw the Eiffel Tower (of course), Notre Dame, Sacre-Coeur, the Louvre and the AMAZING gardens around it, le Musee d’Orsay, l’Arc de Triomphe, and to top it all off we went to Disneyland. We LOVE Disney and it was awesome to get to experience it in a new way.

I’m going on another business trip for Southeastern in just a few days to St. Louis, and I’m so excited!! Why am I excited about going to St. Louis? Because I get to see my aunt and uncle and cousins while I’m there, I get to see my parents and sister on the way back, and Stephen gets to come with me (again!)!! It’ll be another busy month, but slowly things are starting to wind down from our crazy spring. Praise the Lord! We’re already planning a stay-cation for sometime in July and goodness do we need it.

To do:

  • Photograph Laura + Matt’s wedding – This one is THIS Saturday, and I still have some work to do to prepare, but my goal is to have my last wedding blogged before Saturday and this one blogged before we leave for St. Louis next week. Yay goals!
  • Photograph Hanna + Dylan’s engagement session – These two are getting married in August and I can’t wait!! Their engagement session is going to be split between the urban American Tobacco Campus and the beautiful Joyner park, and it’s going to be marvelous. =)
  • Continue to edit and blog – Lot’s of editing to do to stay on top of these weddings and engagement sessions in the midst of all of our traveling.

Done:

  • Stay of top of editing – So glad I can say that I’ve been doing this!! It really does keep me sane.
  • Stay on top of blogging – I have a schedule and for the most part I’ve been sticking to it. I even scheduled things to post while I was in Paris!
