Dry Creek Venue Photo Session

I take a lot of photos of Benjamin. I take some photos of Stephen and Benjamin. I take no photos of Benjamin and me. So when I had some free time a few weeks ago, I took him out to Dry Creek Venue for a little mommy and me photo session. And I LOVE the photos!! Stephen was finishing up a paper, so he couldn’t come, but we will definitely be taking family photos like this in the next week or two for Benjamin’s first birthday (HOW is that possible?!).

Once I decided to do photos I had to decide what to wear. I’ve had this dress for a while, and I love it, but I rarely wear it. Maybe because it feels too formal, even for church. I actually bought it for a photo session of Stephen and me years ago. When I was looking in Benjamin’s closet for something for him to wear, I realized this cute little vest and bow tie from grandma would match it perfectly! I fell asleep last night thinking about what we’re going to wear in our family photos, so if picking outfits for photos stresses you out, you’re not the only one! (And I’m always here if you need any advice =).
