I’ve had the privilege of photographing this sweet family every time, and I love watching little Clayton grow! From his newborn session to family photos a six months later. I can’t believe he turns two this year, and I can guarantee you his parents are just as surprised. 😉 This year we chose to shoot at Dry Creek Baptist Camp, which is beautiful throughout the year, but especially in the spring. I wasn’t expecting any azaleas to be blooming already, but they were!

Last time we did photos in December and happened to have an unseasonable cold day. This time we had planned our session for 9am and the low overnight the night before was in the 30s. 😳 Normally I would prioritize the better light of the early morning, but I don’t know any almost two-year-olds who are happy when they’re freezing, so we opted to shoot at noon instead. But we found a nice shady spot and made it work! And it wasn’t too cold by midday. I regret nothing!

I love that Karlee and Kyler had Uncle Carson and Aunt Allie come out to their session to help Clayton smile and look towards the camera. They did the same thing back in December of 2021, but Clayton was not impressed. This time he cracked a few more smiles. But still nowhere near what their antics deserved. I’m sure I would have been cracking up if I had been able to see them behind me! 😂 I’m also glad I got a couple photos of them with their nephew before we left. They needed some thanks for their hard work!
