Yay for my first family session back in North Carolina! When we lived in NC before, we were in Wake Forest. That means most of my old shooting spots are too far away now. I had fun last week exploring some new locations in our new stomping grounds around Fuquay-Varina.

I did this sessions with some of our new friends, the Meiners, at Womble Park in Holly Springs. It has one of my kids’ favorite playgrounds and a pretty little pond! The light by the pond was a little harsher than I thought it would be, so we didn’t spend the whole session there. Instead, we found this cute fence on the edge of the park. It’s actually a fence around someone’s yard! Their dog was not very happy to have us shooting nearby, but thankfully it didn’t bother the kiddos. And it turned out to be the perfect fall spot! Some leaves on the ground, some color on the trees still, and a little light peeking through.

Friends, I’m so impressed by how well the kids did. They’re awesome kids, but all 2 and 4 year olds have hard days, so I’m thankful they were in good moods. I’d be thrilled if my kids did half as well next time we try to take pictures 😂 Happy Thanksgiving friends!! I hope you enjoy these pictures as you spend time with your family this week.
